About Us

Quite simply, we are a group of friends who fell in love with Bansko after going there for a ski vacation during the 2006/07 season. As you probably know, the ski season in Europe that year was less than spectacular! However, due to its unique continental position and altitude, Bansko had plenty of snow for us to ski and snowboard on!

When planning our holiday, we were frustrated by the lack of quality information about Bansko on the internet. So after we had such a great time there we saw an opportunity to provide this information for future visitors with a goal to unlocking this hidden treasure!

Not only did we enjoy the snow, but we were impressed with the Bulgarians passion for showing off their country. Before the iron curtain was lifted, they were suppressed for too long by communist rule. Now they have joined the European Union (as of Jan 2007), it is like they have a new lease on life! We were made to feel welcome by the people and were further impressed with the food, folklore, traditional music and dancing and natural beauty.
